WHAT is the Practitioner Registry?

  • clear pathway for professional development of child care providers in Arkansas
    provides a uniform method for documenting education and training of each child care provider in the registry.

WHO should apply to the Practitioner Registry?

  • YOU should apply if:
  • you are at least 18 years of age
  • you have a high school diploma or GED
  • you have three months of documented work experience in early care and education

HOW do I apply to the Practitioner Registry?

  • contact the Arkansas Early Childhood Professional Development Registry office or apply online
    request a practitioner registry application
    complete the application
    compile the necessary documentation and mail.

WHY should I apply to the Practitioner Registry?

  • you will have a pathway for achieving your professional goals
  • you will have opportunities to participate in verified training
  • you will be able to track your training as you advance one level to the next
  • you will gain knowledge, skills and expertise in your profession- early care and education
