[Announcer] Welcome to Thoughts on Aging with Dr. LaVona Traywick,
Assistant Professor of Gerontology with the University of Arkansas Division of
Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service.
[Dr. LaVona Traywick] Super Bowl 45 will be played February 6, 2011 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington,
Texas, which is midway between Dallas and Fort Worth.
Here are a few stats on Arlington:
- Arlington ranks 49th on the list of the nation's most populous cities.
- 83% of the city's population has graduated from high school and 28% of the
residents 25 and older have a college degree.
- On average it takes residents of Arlington 26 minutes to get to work.
- And 34% of the population speaks a language other than English at home.
So here's my thought. If you were a city, what would people say about you?
Would your stats read your age? Number of years worked at a company?
What would you want people to say about you? You know, it's never too late to start
working towards that goal. What would you want your stats to be?
[Announcer] Thank you for listening to Thoughts on Aging with Dr. LaVona
