Good money managers meet most of their reasonable money goals. They plan their spending. They match their spending needs and wants to their income. They change spending habits when necessary.

The Extension fact sheet, Shape Up Your Spending (Financial Fitness Series) (FSHEC 42) will help you get started.

Unfortunately, few Americans follow this advice. Most people prefer to spend money rather than save it. Here are some ideas about how to spend wisely or get the biggest bang for your buck.
